An afternoon spent with the legend of lettering, Hanif Kureshi.

On a summer afternoon in Goa, we got a call to shoot Hanif Kureshi at his Goa Studio for a profile for Johnny Walker. He was collaborating to design the a sneaker that the brand was to later unveil. He welcomes us with a big smile and was effortlessly cool. He walked us through the design ideologies, collection of posters and paints from a lifetime and the space which he held as his creative base. As we wrapped up the shoot, he invited me to share a meal with him. He showed me his favourite lunch home a little outside Moira, before heading off to spend the rest of the day with his family.

Its been some time since his passing, but we keep coming back to the day we spent with him.
